When she’s not being praised for her hairstyle, New York City comedian Claudia Cogan is being called “hilarious” by Time Out New York and an “acerbic wit” by The New York Post. It’s in print and can’t be undone.
She gets noticed all over the place: Claudia was nominated “Best Female Stand Up” by a panel of industry and comedy fans at the ECNY Awards two years in a row. Last year, Claudia won the first ever Time Out New York “Joke of the Year.” She is now a contender for Joke of the Century, if that competition ever takes place.
If you’re observant, you may have seen her act at Caroline’s, Comix, Stand Up New York, Laugh Lounge, M Bar (LA), the UCB Theatre and the DC Comedy Festival. She spent October in swing states as part of The Obama Girls of Comedy Tour. Fans of satellite radio may have experienced the invigorating joy that is Claudia’s voice on Raw Dog Comedy and the Derek and Romaine Show.
